During the Whole Foods Reset I have a party that I’m supposed to go to, should I just wait?

Life will never wait for you…

Just wondering… could you go to a party and not drink? Bring a colorful veggie tray with hummus and snack away with a sparkling water? Is that at all a possibility? We explore our lives and work to challenge the “ohhh… I could never do that.”s. There will never be a perfect time. Something will always come up and this Reset won’t be perfect. That is OK. We’ve had students who go to a party in the middle of a Reset and then learn something about themselves… like beer makes their nose stuffy or that the artichoke dip made their stomach hurt. This is really good information and experiences you can grow from. Lastly, if you do have that glass of wine, all we ask is that you pause and appreciate and savor the tastes and the experience of the moment because that right there our friend is the end goal. Joy with a capital.

Meal plans, wow! These are amazing but this is a lot… do I have to follow these perfectly?

Absolutely not. Learn how to fit it in to your life.

What is a whole foods meal? Pretty much anything that doesn’t come from a box, can, bag, or that has been processed. Rice is a great example. Rice is a whole food. Ricearooni has been processed. Frozen prepared egg bites have been processed but hard-boiled eggs are whole. Oats cooked in water is a whole food and Quaker Oats Brown Sugared oatmeal has been processed. Ultimately, we are working to know everything that we are putting into our body.

Through this process you will learn how to modify recipes and figure out what works best for you. If you have busy mornings then what would be best is to batch cook oatmeal for the week or make a double batch of smoothie for snack and lunch.

I have a dietary restriction, can you accommodate me?

Flexibility is what we strive for because this needs to work for your life.

Our meal plans have built-in instructions on how to adapt recipes for certain dietary restrictions. Most common are vegetarian, vegan, gluten and nut free. If you need anything else, we’d be happy to work with you.
